Quiet Time

After a busy weekend, we decided to have some quiet time this afternoon.

This is how I filled in my afternoon...

Curls First

Today it was our dancing photo shoot day.  We had to get picked up from our holiday at Sharn's house earlyish this morning so that Milli could get her hair done - it took forever!

First she had to have her hair in curls for the first photo shoot.

Then she needed her curls to be put into buns for the second photo shoot.

My hair is cool however I do it, especially when I don't use a brush (ever).  It only took a few minutes for me to get ready!

It only took me a few seconds to get ready for my photos!

It was fun playing at the studio today, but it should be even more fun next weekend when it is showtime!

Preps in the Park

Mum and dad have been really busy this weekend, first they went to a wedding and then the next night they went to an engagement party and we had a holiday at Sharn's house.   We had heaps of fun with Sharn, going to a street festival, watching movies, making muffins and setting up the Christmas tree.  It was great.

We did sneak home for a few minutes, not to see mum and dad, but because we wanted to go to the park for the 'new preps picnic'.
Look at how crazy the parachute game made my hair!

I had a great time making new friends and playing fun games.  I hope that we get to have another prep picnic before I start school.

Hiding

It is really good that it is raining, it might help to fill up some of the dams and make the drought go away, but it makes it hard to play fun games outside.

It was raining when we came home from school today, but we still wanted to play outside.

We built a house to hide from the rain.  We were still getting wet because the decking was wet.  We didn't think that mm would mind using all of the towels to make a soft and dry floor for our house.  We used a few more towels for a roof and then we had a very comfortable house to rest in.

I will happily make cubby houses to stay out of the rain if the rain keeps my garden growing.

A Letter from my Buddy

I went back to school today and I wore my new school costume.
I looked so good in my school costume that everyone thought that I was a school kid and not just a kinder kid having another orientation!

My buddy was there again and she gave me a letter telling me all about what we will do when school starts.
My buddy and I went to art and then to music.  It was fantastic, making models with clay and singing new songs.  I can't wait until I get to go to school for real.

Photographic Proof

Do you remember that I complained about mum not taking ANY photos when I had my sleep over at Amelia's house?  Well mum organised a surprise for me - look at the photo that I was emailed today!

Do you know what is almost as good as having a sleep over with Amelia?  Knowing that Christmas is only one month away!

Run, Run, Run

HURUMPH!  Dad is away this weekend so I had to hang out with girls and do girlie things all day.  Luckily it was raining and I wouldn't have been allowed to play in the park all day, so being dragged to DFO really wasn't that bad, just don't tell mum, Sharn and Ellen!

By the time we finished doing all the girlie shopping stuff, it had stopped raining so we went to the Holland Park Alive festival.  It was fantastic.  There was a jumping castle in the hall and one in the pool (but I forgot my togs), footy players to have a kick with, friends from circus to teach us new tricks, music to dance to, heaps of friends to play with and a running race.

I went in the under 9's running race.  We had to run all the way around the KensingTAN, the new running track that goes all the way around the park.  The track goes for more than one kilometre!
This is me and everyone else running at the start of the race.

I am still running, almost at the finish line!

I didn't win, but I ran all the way and had heaps of fun.

Milli wasn't interested in running, or playing footy, she was happy climbing.

For a day where I spent most of my time with girls, it was kinda fun.

Girlie Stuff

Dad is away this weekend so we get to do girlie stuff with mum and her friends.

First we went shopping at DFO and then we had lunch together.  It was so much fun wandering around the shops and laughing together.

When we got home we made mum and dad's bedroom look really pretty.
Their new bed arrived yesterday so now they don't have to sleep on the couch any more.  (If they put all of their stuff away in the cupboards now, they will finally be finished after the renovations up top!)

I wonder if mum will notice if I sleep in the new bed?

OOPS!

Sorry we have been away from blogging for ages.  It isn't that we have been away, we have just been super busy.  We have been posting in the background but no publishing yet so that we can keep things in order.  We have been waiting to try and find the SD card with all the photos from Milli's birthday party so we can blog about her dance party.

We still haven't found the photos but we just couldn't wait so we have decided to publish about everything else anyway.  If we ever find the photos, or get photos from other people to use instead, we will add them in and let you know.

If you want you can look for the oldest of the new posts called Happy Birthday Boo and scroll back through them all, or click through link by link.

Here they all are...

So that brings us almost up to date.  If we get a chance this weekend, we will finish playing catch up.  Thanks for checking back on us,

Bang the Drum

We decided to make music this afternoon.  Do you want to listen to our concert?

We hope you enjoyed listening to our music as much as we enjoyed making music.  I know mum and dad are really happy to have dents all over the pots and pans!

Time for School

Today I had my first orientation day for school.  It was so much fun.  I met my big kid buddy and she is really nice.  Together we drew pictures and did puzzles.  I had a fantastic time.

After the orientation, I went to the uniform shop with dad to buy my new school uniform.

Don't I look all grown up in my school uniform?

Next week I get to go to school again for another orientation day, I can't wait.

Two Fetes, a Family Picnic and a Rehearsal

Well I went with a drive with mum to pick Milli up after her sleep over.  Instead of driving all the way to Amelia's house, we decided to meet them at a Fete in West Brunswick.  I had fun, and managed to find some fantastic treasures.  The best treasure was a box of crystals that really needed, but I couldn't afford them - they were $4 and I only had $2 left.  I managed to bargain the stall holder down to $3 and promised to share the crystals with Milli, so she let me have a dollar.

I am sure there were more treasures to find and there were heaps of places at the school to explore, but I was more interested in going to a different fete, the Family Fun Day at Holy Rosary.  It was great fun there, heaps of my school friends were there and there was heaps to do.

Milli had her face painted

I played mini golf

Milli had a sno cone

I ate fairy floss

From the fete we went to another school friends house for a class get together.  We had a great time playing in the park, riding bikes and jumping on the trampoline.  Then it was time to go to dance rehearsals.

It was a crazy busy day.  I hope that tomorrow it is a little bit quieter.

Unbelievable!

Last night was our first ever sleep-over at a house that isn't someone in our family.  We stay at Sharn's house all the time, we even have holidays at nan and pop's house in Yarrawonga.  We have even had friends stay at our house but we have never had a chance to have a sleep at any of our friends houses.

Anyway, I had a fantastic  sleep-over at Liam's, Milla had asleep over at Amelia's house, mum had a sleep-over at Ellen's and lots of other people had a sleep-over at our house.  We all had a great time but can you believe it, it is our first ever really real sleep-over and we don't have any photos!  How rude.

And to make matters worse, look what we found when we got home - a toy box full of beer cans GROSS!  I wonder where my toys are?

I hope that the mess is cleaned up when we get back from the family fun day,

Breakfast in Bed

We let mum and dad have a little bit of a sleep in this morning.  We got up and made some fruit salad for breakfast and decided to have a picnic out the back.

Once we set up the picnic at our new outdoor table, we realised that it was still a little bit cold outside, we decided to have breakfast in bed to get warm.  We aren't allowed to take food upstairs to our beds so instead we decided to take our beds outside!

It was a great way to start the day!

More Furniture

Last night some friends came over for dinner, but before we could have dinner, we had to make the table and chairs that had arrived earlier in the day.

Just as the grown-ups finished building, it began to rain so we ate inside.  It didn't really matter, it was fun having people over for dinner and I am sure we will use our new outdoor furniture heaps.

Goodbye Jack

Jack has become our latest science experiment.  It has been fun watching things grow.  Now he is full of crazy grey fur and little bugs, he is becoming a little stinky too.

Jack didn't last too long, but he sure was fun to have around!
